Terms of Service & Family Safety Agreement

1. The Parental Proxy Rule

To comply with Google's AI Developer Terms and global privacy laws, this service is intended for use by adults.

• Who Can Create an Account: You must be at least 18 years old to register.
• Supervision is Required: Children under 18 may only use the platform under the direct, active supervision of the registered Parent/Guardian. You agree to be "over the shoulder" while your child interacts with our AI tools.
• Responsibility: As the account holder, you are legally responsible for all activity, prompts, and content generated under your login.

2. AI Technology Disclosure

Our platform uses advanced AI models, including Google Gemini (for text), Nano (for images).

• AI is Not Human: AI can "hallucinate" (provide false information) or produce unexpected results. Always verify important facts.
• Safety Filters: We have implemented the strictest safety settings to block hate speech, harassment, and inappropriate content.
• Creative Action: While we block realistic violence, we allow "fictional action" (e.g., space aliens with lasers, fantasy heroes) to encourage storytelling.

3. Image & Avatar Privacy

• Real People: You are prohibited from attempting to generate realistic images of real people, including public figures or individuals who have not given their consent.
• Avatars: Our Avatar feature is designed to transform a photo into a fictional character. By uploading a photo, you represent that you have the legal right to that image. The AI will stylize the image so it no longer looks like a real-world person, but rather a book illustration.

4. Data & Privacy (Free vs. Paid Accounts)

• Free Demo Accounts: Your data is "Non-Persistent." To protect your privacy and keep the service fast, text and images created in Demo Mode are stored only in your browser's temporary session. If you close the tab or log out, your work is cleared.
• Paid Accounts: We store your projects securely so you can return to them. We never sell your data or use your child's creative prompts to train our AI models.
• SynthID: All images and videos generated here contain invisible digital watermarks (SynthID) to identify them as AI-generated. This is a safety feature and cannot be removed.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You and your child agree NOT to use the AI to:

• Generate racist, hateful, or discriminatory content.
• Create depictions of realistic harm or illegal acts.
• Attempt to "jailbreak" or trick the AI into bypassing its safety filters.
• Upload any personally identifiable information (PII) of a minor, such as full names, addresses, or school names, into AI prompts.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

This service is provided "As-Is." Wonderbook AI and its AI providers (Google) make no guarantees regarding the accuracy or appropriateness of the AI-generated output for every specific user.
